This is a PDF download for the chart only of the stranded colourwork motif pictured. 

Heronic is a large stranded colourwork motif of grey herons on a geometric zig-zag background. This chart includes suggestions for yarn and gauge, but you are welcome to use whatever yarn you choose and use the motif on your own personal projects, be it a cushion cover, blanket, cowl or garment!

The photo shows two repeats of the colourwork chart with added corrugated ribbing at the top and bottom.

Gauge and Measurements

24 sts and 27 rounds = 10 cm / 4” on 3 mm / US 4 needles. One chart repeat at the gauge given will measure 21.5 cm / 8.5” wide x 32 cm / 12.5”.

Yarn

Marina Skua Mendip 4-Ply (4-ply/fingering weight, 170 m per 50 g; 100% British wool) shown in Sheep (Sunny) and Sheep (Cloudy). Approximately 25g main colour and 10g contrast colour per chart repeat.
